The Craft Cupboard trilogy- win a Craft Stamper apron!

Any Craft Stamper fans out there? I know there are...... well, there's a much coveted Craft Stamper apron up for grabs on the Cupboard Trilogy blog- and if you've got the fab free heart stamp from last month's magazine, you can get crafting and win it!

Here's my second entry- my first is a couple of posts down- the zentangle heart.

This one's a little 5x7 box canvas- I'm so chuffed with how it's turned out. The background is painted with semi opaque acrylics, the heart are watercoloured and glazed/ semi glazed. It's lovely and bright.

I'm also entering this into the Happy Daze challenge- a technique you love to use. Hope it qualifies- I love making those little circles and lines with paint! Lots of pen and pot tops and the edge of a card ATC.

Oh and if you like this enough to want to buy it- check out my Folksy store and you can!

My Stamp Man DT project- Colours of Spring

It's challenge time over at The Stamp Man challenge blog again, woohoo! This fortnight's theme is Colours of Spring/ Easter. That should be an easy one with all those Easter and Mother's Day cards to make.

I've used one of the stunning Artemio stamp sets newly in stock at the Stamp Man. They're gorgeous images and stamp beautifully. I used pencils to colour the flower image slightly, then aged the edges with Old Paper and Tea Dye distress inks.

The edges of the card are coloured with Tea Dye distress ink, and I added pretty lilac pearls for a bit of bling!

There are lots of superb projects to look at on the Stamp Man challenge blog- my fellow Design Team members are so very talented! As ever, a Stamp Man gift voucher is up for grabs for the challenge winner.

I carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
                                  i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Stamp Man DT project- texture

For this fortnight's Stamp Man challenge, we want to see you use some texture. I've got a Fat Page to show you.

I used the free stamp with last month's Craft Stamper. Jill stocks Craft Stamper and Scrap 365 in the Stamp Man shop- always worth popping the latest copy in your basket!!

The texture on this piece comes from the mesh and corrugated cardboard behind the hearts. Fat Pages are 4x4inches square and are swapped and then usually made into little books. I wanted to add interest to this with some texture but it couldn't be too heavy or thick, so I added the impression of more texture with my background.

As ever there's a fab prize up for grabs, and we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Want, want, want, want, want.....

.....strike that. Need. These. Stamps.

Used my friend Kay's set to make these ATCs, but I'm going to have to splurge on my own..... they're from Graphic 45's Wizard of Oz collection, which is pretty much all wonderful......

Snowy Sunday = lotsa crafting for me :)

OOh I've had a lovely day, all inky and stampy. Just my sort of Sunday afternoon, all cosy and creative. I've made a couple of commissioned cards- the brief for this one was pink and fluffy and ballet......

Hoping I managed it without it being too saccharine. The colours are a bit weird on this photo, the yellowy green is a bit more subtle in real life. Ah well.....

I'm entering this into the following challenges-

Allsorts- Free and easy Friday
Lili's Little Fairies- Spring colours
