Let me introduce you.......

Have you heard of That Craft Place? No? Well let me introduce you.....

That Craft Place Challenge Blog

It's a looooverly craft shop, with a couple of great pages on Facebook- the Natter and Chatter page is fun!!!

I'm in the Design Team B- and we're up for the next couple of months, providing inspiration for the challenge blog. So- my first challenge is Men! I've gone with face fungus.....

This is from the Indigo Blu set- Mr Fan-tash-tic. For some bizarre reason I decided to stamp in lots of colours.......love the effect, but it was a bit of a pain to do at first- I got into it though.

So, I bet you've all got a male themed something to show us- pop over and get a-linking :)

Ooh, and if you like this and want to order one....... pop over to my Facebook selling page.

I'm entering this into the Simon Says Wednesday challenge- Father's Day/ Masculine
and the Crafting Musketeers challenge- Stamped image.

Poppy red

A gorgeous card to show you today that I made at an Indigo Blu workshop a few weeks ago.

It's a gorgeous stamp! If you've got a flowery make this month, the challenge at A Little Bit Crafty is Flower Power- some great prizes as usual!

Awesome!

So my Mom is awesome. Truly awesome.

So awesome in fact that I used the beautiful little background I've been happily hoarding for weeks now, not wanting to squander it on something frivolous......oh come on, I know you know what I mean. Sometimes the planets align (or something), and everything comes together, quite by chance, well..... this background was one of those times!

It started off as a mopping up scrap when I was spraying card for another project, but the colours kinda worked, so I kept it.
Then I embossed a script stamp on another project in silver, so I added a tad to this whilst I was on...... and it worked, so I kept it.
Next I used up some scraps of book pages......and it worked, so I kept it. (see a theme here? Well, I'm working with it!)
And then I went to an Indigo Blu demo and got the old flitter glue and gilding flakes out for another card, which spilled over onto this.......and it worked, so I kept it.
Finally I stamped those gorgeous Lavinia dandelions (available from the fabulous That Craft Place) on a card for my girlie's Godmother, and then thought about this gorgeous background.......and it worked, so I've given it to my awesome Mom.

Sparkly!

I'm entering this into the following challenges-

Papertake- anything goes
Lavinia challenge- Spring colours

Gilded butterfly

So....a Saturday or two ago I took my Mom to a demo at Crafty Bunch in Telford (great shop, full of so many pretties......), where Kay from Indigo Blu was showing lots of fab techniques and stamps and all sorts of gorgeousness.

Well, inspired to get my gilding flakes and flitter glue out, I made this.....

OK, the gilding isn't showing up on that photo.... how about this one?

Now I couldn't find my scoochy thingy to scrub off all of the excess flakes, but I really don't care, because it still looks fabulouso.

The butterfly is Stampin' Up and it's huuuuuuge. The finished card is a retirement card, so I kept the colours quite subtle, but then ruined the subtlety with 3/4 of a pack of blingy pearls....hey ho....not called Lisa Sparkle for nothing you know.

I'm entering this into the That's Crafty challenge, which is Anything Goes and the Papertake weekly challenge which is also Anything goes.
