Tagging away- a challenge

OK, so there was a challenge. I'm pretty sure it was on the Lollipop Box Club facebook page, but I may be wrong, anyway, the challenge was to make a tag from scraps. I liked that challenge. Here's the bits and offcuts that were lurking in a box on my desk. Anyone else do that? Just stuff things in a box thinking it's tidying up?

So- I took 3 tags. I mean, make 1 tag? What am I, an amateur? Why make 1 when you can make multiples?

The tags got sprayed with ink. 

Whilst I was there I sprayed some scrap card too. Might as well!

For some reason I had a little flag, that originally came in a burger I think. Ah, the tat I save... I covered it in red card.

And then I placed it all out. I'd got a scrap of stripey card that I'd punched a hole out of, and it frames my ink splodges beautifully.

OK then, now I had a purpose. This could be used on a card. For my anniversary. Hurray, let's get some more love on there.

I do so love tissue paper.

Righto. Tag 2. I wanted to use up a little frame, so I frames a snippet of a tree. Cute.

I quite like things dangling over the sides a bit haphazard. As long as you realise it's meant to be that way, 'K?

The flag/tags I used at the top were in a pack of about 50 I've had for a while, very versatile!

I'd got a mis-stamped, smudged quote ying about too, so I cut out the words that still looked OK.

Spare leaves, and tissue paper again.

I've been itching to use that ickle pin sticker.

Et voila- another card I think!

This one I don't have many process photos for, just the after pics. I'd got a Tatty Button stamped image left over, so on she went.

The littel spotty flair button has been collecting dust on my desk for months.

The challenge on the Crop Central Facebook page was to use:

Challenge accepted!

I was a little bit generous saying I'd used Mixed Media, but I kinda have a problem with that term. What does it mean? It's all media and it's all mixed. I've always used inks and paint and watercolours, and paper and stencils and all sorts on my ATCs and cards, and never thought of it as mixed media really. Anyway, I splodged watercolours onto this one, and ticked off the Mixed Media box.

I cut the arrow out to match the arrow paper. I chose the photo becasue it had purple flowers on it, however I wasn't sure the purple would fit in, but a camera, some splodges and a photo mat, and what do you know? It looks good...

My lovely Crop friend Vicky loaned me some stamps, so the white images and stamped and fussy cut, I quite like the contrast of the coloured cameras and the monochrome.

Challenge accepted, challenge smashed!

Moooooooo

So, I joined a moo swap. Yep, I know I know... what's a moo? Well it's very little swap card- teeny tiny really- 2.9x6,9cm. Sounds a bit too small, but actually I loved working in miniature. MInd you, I am an ATC girl at heart! 

The theme was the sky's the limit, so obviously I went for dragons. Well, you do, don't you?

These are probably larger on the screen than they are in real life!

The background is splodged Distress Inks and the images are miniature ones from Lavinia. The edges are heat embossed with gold, although it's not showing up, grrrr. Oh, and I sparkled the moon.

I'll enter this in to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge, which is anything goes 

and into the Sprinkle of Imagination monthly anything goes challenge- I hope I'm allowed to enter more than once.

Pink and yellow and blue and green

I do adore colour. Bright as you like.

The background for this card makes me smile- the colours are all Distress Inks, and picked raspberry is my absolute favourite. 

The central image and top foliage are Lavinia stamps, with a faithful Stampin' up set (Pocket Silhouettes) at the bottom.

Stampotique Christmas houses

I bought these little Tando houses on a whim. So glad I did!

Christmas houses with my beloved Stampotique boys!

The houses are covered with paper, lot of stickles bling on the snowy eaves. The boys are watercoloured, with extra corpse green around the eyes......

The edge of each roof is stamped and embossed with another Stampotique image- white embossing powder and then a few snowy pearls for added texture. 

And of course they all needed a few words to finish them off!

The Stampotique designer challenge this month is anything goes, so I'm off to enter :)

My black heart

Yay, splodging paint is fun!

I'm not sure Hunk really has a black heart, he's too horribly cute.

The challenge at A Step in the Dark is anything goes- but on the darker side...... hope this fits.

A couple more teacher notebook presents to show today. This was another impulse stamp buy, years ago at a craft show, and it's still a favourite.

Summer, summer, summertime!

Bye bye school for a few weeks, and after today, bye bye work for me for a few days too, hurray! I made notebooks for Miss Little Legs' lovely teachers- this one was a favourite.

I think it's the colours, so bright and summery.

The Lavinia fairy is stamped twice and cut out so that she pops up a bit from the background. I indulged in one of my most-used techniques round the edges- stamping in a lighter colour, then overlaying with black. It gives the border depth. 

Lots of sparkle!!! Well, you'd expect no less from me!

Decorate a bag at That Craft Place

Hello everyone, hope you're having a good weekend! I'm completely absorbed by the Tour de France, as I am most years.

Decorate a Bag

Team A will be showing lots of inspiration over on our That Craft Place Natter and Chatter Facebook Page but I'm Team B, so here's my bag.

It's a little sheer gift bag/pouch, and I've photographed it with white card in the middle so that you can see the design-I used a favourite Lavinia stamp and lots of stickles glitter :) The bag is a lovely soft peachy cream colour, so I went for a greyish lavender which hasn't really come out on the photo :(
