It's April tomorrow!

Skidding in at the last minute.......skin of my teeth.......with April's calendar journal pages.

Apologies for the photo quality- I waited too late to take it, and the light had gone. Still, you get the idea- lots of green and yellow. I'd got the colours in my head weeks ago, and the recent bout of snow (still lying on the ground here), just made me more determined to have some spring like colours on my pages.

The frog is one of my all time favourite stamps, he's magnificent. Coloured with watercolour pencils, and lots of punched flowers to frame him.

The green post tag was in the rubbish at work, so home with me it came! The bunny was on an Ester present my daughter opened this morning, a last minute addition, but he works! I've collected offcuts of backgrounds for ages with this sort of layout in mind.

I'm entering this into:
Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge- Spring flowers
Try it on Tuesday- recycle it! (bunny and tag)
Corrosive challenge- Spring fling

March calendar pages.... doodle doooooo.

Time to show you this month's calendar pages, bit of a labour of love this one.....

The spotty circles and bracketed lines are stamped, and the rest is all from the end of my pen. It's taken a while, but I love doing it, so it's been fun!

Just got to fill the days in with lots of lovely things now :)

February's journal calendar page

Circles, circles, circles.......

I started this off going for red, hearts, and valentines. Then it went a bit purple and dark, but I liked it so it stayed!

The swirls are from Stampin' Up, and the raven and spider are Tim Holtz.

The letters are on tissue paper, they kept ripping, but it all adds to the charm, right?

Ooh, I'd forgotten that I'd heat embossed some of the swirls, that's a fab embossing powder- Silver Pearl, really versatile.

These pages are great for using up snippets of paper for the days.

Wonder what I'll write on this month? I'm hoping for a WON THE LOTTERY scrawl in black marker across the while thing, lol.

Stampotique, oh how I love Stampotique.

Now I have way too many stamps. I know a lot of crafters say this, but I really do have too many. Some of you will have seen my fabulouso stamp storage that my fabulouso husband built for me (check it out here if you haven't), well it's not quite full....yet....but I can sort of see a time when it will be. I've certainly got at least 2 drawers that need expanding.

One of those drawers is the Stampotique one- I have a wish list I'm determined to fulfill so I'll need the space!

I was making backgrounds with paint and stencils today- using a newish brick effect stencil, which is now my new favourite.

I was playing around today making a little pocket calendar for the Stampotique designer's blog challenge. As an added bonus the base card is recycled from a mobile phone box I've been saving for ages without inspiration!

Inside.

The back.

I added a little elasticated band to keep it shut. Sometimes it all comes together and the idea I have in my head ends up finished on my desk. This is one of those times. Happy :D

OK, spot the obvious mistake!

This is a calendar I've made for my Mom, her kitchen walls are yellow. I know there's something missing......can you spot it? I can't find the little rip off calendar I bought weeks ago!!!! So I've had to post an unfinished project, but I'm sure you'll forgive me and use your imaginations to visualize a little white calendar fixed to the bottom!

I used the Jars digi from I Brake for Digis and printed it a couple of times so that I could cut out extra jars to layer them up. I love that the olives double up as little oranges and the chilli peppers are just gorgeous. I've coloured with Promarkers (of course). The base is a page from a chipboard album by Papermania, covered with a white card background decorated with my favourite Paperartsy swirl.

The next layer is some spotty Stampin Up paper, then yellow card, cut with a nesties label die. The numbers and the whole thing is covered with Stickles, so it really glitters.

If you want to order from  I Brake for Digis use my SAVE10LISA discount code for 10% off!!

I'm entering this into the Passion for Promarkers Anything goes challenge.

I'm off to wrap more presents...........
