Pastels

A pretty little card to show you today. I've been finishing all of the half made cards I'd got tucked away, so this image  has been coloured in for months!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations challenge- dies and punches- I used a lacy Martha Stewart punch
Lili of the valley monthly challenge- to make them a birthday card
Corrosive challenge- pretty pastels

Black belt, red belt, yellow belt.

So I've got Tae Kwon-Do on my mind today. My lovely husband is off to take his grading for his second Dan black belt. He's brilliant, so I'm sure he'll pass, but it's still a bit nailbiting!

In honour of his test- some martial arts themed cards.

I keep these simple and bold, it seems appropriate.

They can be commissioned in any colourway and with a variety of greeting- how about good luck, or well done, or thank you?

If you'd like one, get in touch! £3 each plus postage if applicable.

Bla bla bla

Lately I'm in the mood for colour, and lots of it- I went a bit mad with the Distress Inks- Pickled Raspberry is my absolute favourite- over some heat embossed hearts. I got the heat gun back out for the bla text and neon green splats. Then I attached the gorgeous wings to Head (Stampotique, what else?), and added some freestyle gilding.
It sounds a bit more complicated than it was to be truthful!

I'm entering this into the A Sprinkle of Imagination anything goes challenge.

Audrey Hepburn

I had a lovely evening last week with some crafty friends- Kay, Angy, Michelle and Margrit. Whilst we were there I stamped this lovely card (thanks Margrit!), and I finished it off over the weekend.

I went for shades of black and grey, although there's a couple of pink gem flower centres in there as well!

I'm entering this into the That's Crafty challenge- black and white with a splash of colour,
and the Crafting Musketeers' Monochrome challenge.

Blog candy

Ooh there's some fab blog candy up for grabs over at Sue's Stampin' Up blog. We used to swap ATCs ages ago, so I always keep an eye on what she's up to!

This candy is as a celebration of 5 years as a Stampin' Up demo. Go Sue!

Made for an ATC swap with the theme of Timewarp.

Had to be done.

Carrot with a step to the right

And all join in to do the time warp.....hurray!

I'm entering this into the Stampotique Designers challenge #141- a bit of humour.

Awesome!

So my Mom is awesome. Truly awesome.

So awesome in fact that I used the beautiful little background I've been happily hoarding for weeks now, not wanting to squander it on something frivolous......oh come on, I know you know what I mean. Sometimes the planets align (or something), and everything comes together, quite by chance, well..... this background was one of those times!

It started off as a mopping up scrap when I was spraying card for another project, but the colours kinda worked, so I kept it.
Then I embossed a script stamp on another project in silver, so I added a tad to this whilst I was on...... and it worked, so I kept it.
Next I used up some scraps of book pages......and it worked, so I kept it. (see a theme here? Well, I'm working with it!)
And then I went to an Indigo Blu demo and got the old flitter glue and gilding flakes out for another card, which spilled over onto this.......and it worked, so I kept it.
Finally I stamped those gorgeous Lavinia dandelions (available from the fabulous That Craft Place) on a card for my girlie's Godmother, and then thought about this gorgeous background.......and it worked, so I've given it to my awesome Mom.

Sparkly!

I'm entering this into the following challenges-

Papertake- anything goes
Lavinia challenge- Spring colours

WOYWW- It's been a while.....

Haven't shared my desk with the parade of loveliness that is WOYWW for a while......

OK, deep breath, gird those loins, here it comes /peeks out from behind fingers.....

Ugh. A tip of monumental proportions.

Sparkly points for spotting:

A canvas I finished over a month a go which still hasn't found a home, or even made it off the desk of horror
My pink journal
My Papermania ATCs folder, where ATCs go until someone wants them....aw!
The bottom of my fat (toy)cat- he's sitting on a pink cardboard tub thingy, hang on can you see him better now?

There he is from another angle.....along with more mess.....sigh.

The box had lots of goodies in it, so that's a nice thing, and that's my beloved Fiskar's paper trimmer there, never felt the need for another one, it's served me well for years!

Ooh, and at the back, on my washing line of notes and inspiration and out of date Hobbycraft vouchers, it my Miss Little Legs with her mischievous smile on a paper plate creation from school. It's been up there years and it makes me smile every day.

If you wnat to see more desks, get over the Julia's Stamping Ground where the WOYWWers play.
