The voices in my head......

Another journal page from off've me jollies to show you all today.

The back ground is sprayed chalk cosmic shimmer misters, overstamped with the Stampotique patch. Hunk was coloured in with Portfolio water soluble oil pastels.

I edged the page with black pastel too, only problem is, it keeps marking the page opposite, so I'll have to keep a protective layer between them!

Octopode zombie ragdoll.

I've been on my jollies- off to the Lake District for a week with my lovelies, and a smashing time we had too. Busy though! I'd taken a couple of art journal pages to finish off, and some digi stamps, including this one from the Octopode Factory.

I used doodles to colour in the ragdoll and then carried on all around her...... My actual journalling is in the border running around the edge.

The current challenge on the Octopode Friday challenge blog is circles- I've used lots on this page!

Another spot of Stampotique goodness to share......

.....oh I'm enjoying this, playing with Stampotique stamps makes me verrrrry happy :)

This time it's all about the one layer cards.......check out the Stampotique Designers Blog for more info.

I went for one of my OTT doodled creations. I stamped Picture Door in the centre and sketched some colour in with fineliners. The rest of the doodle just kinda came to me........

Bubbles and spikes.

A Union Jack and beads round the edge.

Hope you like it! Have fun x

True Love

Well, you all know I like my vampires, right? And my Stampotique stamps...... and red.......

Put 'em all together and I came up with this.....

It's a canvas, and I made it for my lovely husband for our wedding anniversary..... well, cards get put away don't they- thought he might prefer this.

Acrylic paints, lots of pen and glue top circles, Lovely is the Sound stamp on tissue paper and a 3d heart. I love it! Head over to the Stampotique blog for more gorgeous weird stampyness. Did I mention I'm the August guest designer..............?????

A fern ATC

Been a while since I showed you an ATC I've made!

This one is made with a printed out fern from the Picknix Studio 12 CD. I wanted to show that you can just go simple and bright and get a lovely effect. I used Portfolio oil pastels and drawing pens to colour and decorate it. I do love me a bit of bright!

Gussie up.......

The Stampotique team are sponsoring the CAS-ual Friday challenge this week, so as guest designer, I got to join in too. The challenge is to make a square Clean and Simple card. The prize is a whopping $30 Stampotique voucher!

I went for......

I used the wistful Mela. The bottom section was masked off with post it notes and then inked with Pickled Raspberry and Seedless Preserves Distress inks. Bla, bla, bla was stamped over the top in Seedless Preserves.

I used a paintbrush and a splash of water to use the same ink colours to paint some colour onto Mela. Finished off with my favourite saying stamp!

Stampotique challenge- guest designer post 2.

Oooh I'm loving this Stampotique guest designer lark....... this week's project to show you is a card based on the sketch for this fortnight's Stampotique designers challenge.

It's carrot! Isn't he cute!!!! Looks a bit worried about the potential carrot cake though.......

The bottom corrugated bit is a piece of scrap packaging. The flower background is made from spraying inks over punched flowers. He's coloured in with my beloved watercolour pencils.

I made a little ATC to go into the card too, as I had it earmarked for my matey Kay's birthday!

Mmmmmm, anyone fancy some carrot cake?

Choices, choices...... Studio 12 at Polkadoodles

Here's my latest Studio 12 at Polkadoodles DT project, another page in one of my smaller journals.

The fab signpost from the Picknix CD is a real find for me. This one is quite large- printed onto card and sketchily coloured with fineliner pens. The background is just swiped of Distress Ink pads straight onto the page.

I doodle with a black drawing pen and just go for it right onto the page, after all, if it all goes wrong,  I can always colour it in, right?

So.........my word's of journalling wisdom today? Well, the gist of it is that if you have a choice to make, weigh up the options and then go for it, there's no prizes for being timid in this world!...... and if it all seems to be too much, just keep swimming- it worked for Nemo!

I'm loving the Olympics- hence the colour scheme! Particular favourites are the swimming, the road and track cycling and the athletics of course- did anyone else do the Mobot with Mo Farah? Don't knwo what I'll do when it ends.......

A little bit over-excited. Such fantastic Stampotique news to tell you all!!!!

I've been bursting with my exciting news! I've been asked to be August's guest designer on the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog and Stampotique Designers Blog. Yippee!!!! Only my favourite challenge blog and my favourite stamp range in the whole wide world, ever!

Sooooo, that means this month I'm going to have some smashing Stampotique projects to show you.....starting with my favourite creation this year so far- maybe even ever! I wanted to start the month off with a splash, but I couldn't decide which stamp to use...... so I used them (nearly) all.......

This started off life as a thimble display cabinet, so it's not very big, but it was crying out to be the new home of lots of Stampotique critters. All made mini with shrink plastic.

This is what it looked like when I was halfway through the painting.

Lots of Crackle stuff on the sides....

All of the Stampotique images are on shrink plastic, coloured with normal coloured pencils.

I went through my salvaged bits box and added lots of chess pieces, and little charms.....

....a couple of Letter Ls, my lucky number 7, and some bling from some old costume jewellery.....

....an old earring, the pull from a zip, and a couple of old springs.

Hunk got added wings.

The Stampotique characters are hot glued on.

My little monster :)

The top skeleton fish charm was from a steampunk set.

What do you think? I love it, and for once, I don't think I'm going to give it away.... it's a keeper.

I'm entering it into the HDH Macabre Monday challenge- Freaker's Free for all
