The challenge at the Stampotique challenge blog is to use music as inspiration. Which fits perfectly with a couple of ATCs I made for a Stampotique swap. The theme was black and white, and the Michael Jackson song of the same name kept popping into my mind.
You know how there's that one stamp that you bought on a whim, because you kinda liked it, and then you realise it was one of your best buys ever? Well that's this dress stamp.
Stamps beautifully, paper pieces perfectly. Always looks great once it's blinged up.
This card was a last minute commission, and my trusty dress stamp didn't disappoint!
Bye bye school for a few weeks, and after today, bye bye work for me for a few days too, hurray! I made notebooks for Miss Little Legs' lovely teachers- this one was a favourite.
I think it's the colours, so bright and summery.
The Lavinia fairy is stamped twice and cut out so that she pops up a bit from the background. I indulged in one of my most-used techniques round the edges- stamping in a lighter colour, then overlaying with black. It gives the border depth.
Lots of sparkle!!! Well, you'd expect no less from me!
