More fairy dust.

Thought I'd show you the other fairy dust card I made over the weekend. It was lovely making these. If you'd like to see the blue one, scroll down to yesterday's post.

Again, a lot of Distress Inks for the background, mostly blended, but you can see a few brush strokes around the gateway and steps where I added some depth with a water brush. The gateway and moon are masked off.

I'm particularly loving the white swirls- my beloved Baroque Motifs set from Stampin' Up and Brilliance Moonlight white. Plus, when do I ever make a card without adding some white pen to it to make things pop?

I took these into work and sold the blue one straight away, yippee.

Fairy dust and magic

I had different crafty plans this weekend, but after seeing a post by a mate on Facebook, I was kinda inspired to get my Lavinia stamps out......

The background is Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. That Salty ocean is fast becoming a favourite. The images are all in Versafine- onyx black and deep lagoon. I got the glamour dust out to give the sparkle, but oh my word it went EVERYwhere......

Oh these stamps give such a crisp image, they're wonderful.

I'm entering into Daring Cardmakers challenge- ink it up.

WOYWW......the aftermath.

Hello, happy Wednesday! Still feels like Tuesday to me, lovely Bank Holiday Monday, but it's put me off for the whole week!!!

Here we go on WOYWW for this week, and my desk is showing the aftermath of a busy crafting weekend.

Sparkly points for spotting....

  • My beloved Versafine black ink pad, very well used
  • My stripey bunny lunch bag
  • A wedding card waiting for an envelope to be made
  • The corner of my black spiral punch, one of my punch best buys

Right, give us a look at your desk, and pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see a few more.

Pretty fairy frog

I've been making cards. Lots of cards.

I'd got a box of coloured in images- loads of them, so I spent the bank holiday weekend matching papers and cards, adding ribbon and bling and making up cards.

This one is a Sweet Pea stamp- love the odd eyes on the frog.....

The sentiment is Lili of the Valley, and kinda fits well. It's all stamped in brown for a softer edge, and coloured in Promarkers.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Try it on Tuesday- Feminine and fancy
Papertake- Anything goes (optional extra to use 2 stamps)

Happy birthday Jack!

My gorgeous nephew is 4 today, can't believe it! I made this pirate card for him, using some leftover digi papers from my A Little Bit Crafty DT project for this month. the map fit perfectly.

The Lili of the valley image and postmark work well together.

Another bargain, these letters are fab, aren't they?

Happy birthday little man, love you 10 bags of sugar x

To washi or not to washi?

I think I might finally get washi tape. I'm not about to remortgage the house to buy a zillion rolls, or repaper the bathroom in it, but I think I quite like the couple of rolls I have got.

Of course, it helps that I've used it with the very handsome Hunk......

You might recognise this lay out from a card I blogged a day or so ago- It was one of those....I like that, I'm going to do it again moments!

What a hunk.

I'm going to enter this into the Crafting Musketeers challenge- Anything goes!

A Little Bit Crafty- challenge 2......Kraft!

Wow, what an amazing response to the very first A Little Bit Crafty challenge. I know Paula and the rest of the DT were overwhelmed with the number of entries!!!

This month the challenge is Kraft. The sponsors are amazing!!!!

I'm going for a bit of Alice in Wonderland action on this one- Tweedledee and dum are Stampotique (betcha could've guessed that right? OK, so I'm obsessed......)

Quote from the twosome themselves.

The fab Sarah Hurley backing papers fit in great with the Scrabble tiles. I've overstamped with Stampotique splodges and a little paperclip stamp I've had forever.

Dum and Dee are coloured with watercolour pencils. I always seem to reach for my pencils nowadays- can't remember the last time I use a Promarker- I should wipe the dust off the box and put them to use again.

So, you've got a month to come up with a Krafty creation, then come over to the challenge blog and show us!
